Mel B Accuses X-Factor Contestant Of Cheating; Sporty Spice Did Not Get Back Up From Other Judges

Mel B gets disapproving boos from crowd and Simon Cowell's angry look when the ex-Spice Girl voiced out her opinion that Simon's Fleur East is cheating in her Eighties Week performance of Monie Love's It's A Shame. The opinion, according to Mel, is due to the loud use of backtracking vocals that obstruct Fleur's voice making it hard to be judged, the Daily Mail reports.

"That was a great performance, the only thing is on that chorus I didn't hear your voice pop against the backing track so I found that a little bit like cheating," the judge said.

However, the Northern judge did not get support from co-judges Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini saying that it is not an act of cheating and in fact, they have liked Fleur's performance.

"That's not cheating that's being unfair," Cowell said instantly defending his contestant further commending that the contestant's performance is, actually, getting better each week.

'You're turning into an artist," he said.

Further, he added, "All I want to say to Mel is you're making the audience think this girl is cheating it's really unfair. we deliberately put them up in that track, intentionally. I thought it was great."

Cheryl also takes Simon's side saying, "Honestly for me you are fast becoming one of my favorites in the competition. you know exactly what you want to be. You smashed it."

Sources from the Daily Star UK further said that the 55-year old talent manager has tried his best to control his anger from Mel B's accusations for his contestant but the cameras are said to have recorded the look on Cowell's angry face.

Since that incident, the X-factor boss is said to have avoided the Spice Girl judge in having a conversation at the backstage. Also, Mel is said to have stayed in her dressing room, avoiding everybody, for a long time.
