Sarah Jessica Parker Shoes Scandal? ‘Sex And The City’ Star Angers NYC Residents After Holding ‘Dream’ Photo Shoot On Carrie Bradshaw’s Stoop!

Sarah Jessica Parker may have stepped over the line with her new shoe collection.

The "Sex and the City" actress reportedly angered residents of New York City's West Village after she held an unexpected photo shoot for her Carrie Bradshaw inspired shoes on the fictional character's very real front stoop.

"It was take your @sjpcollection shoes to work day. #longdayforCarrie #whewwwwthosesteps #runninginheels #taxi!" SJP wrote on Instagram, alongside the photo of her posing with her new Carrie shoes on the stoop of the NYC building where Bradshaw lived in the TV series.

Parker was publicizing her new SJP collection, which is available exclusively at Nordstrom and features a Carrie pump inspired by her legendary alter ego.

Parker didn't stop there, however. A week later, the actress posted a video of a photo shoot in which her team lined a stream of colorful high heels down the stoop and up the sidewalk.

"I dreamed this. X, Sj," Parker captioned the video on Instagram.

Now it has been reported that residents of the building, located at 66 Perry St., are furious that Parker held the shoot on their property without asking, essentially accusing the actress of trespassing.

"The owners are up in arms as they deal with relentless tourists, and SJP has ignored their requests for an explanation on how she could endorse the shoot, even though 'no trespassing' signs are posted," a source reportedly told Page Six. "SJP used their house during the years of filming, and now won't acknowledge that she and her company used the steps and facade, this time without permission, to promote her shoe line."

"Do NOT go on staircase please," reads a sign that sits outside of the building, prohibiting tourists from stepping on the famous stairs.

66 Perry St. became an extremely popular tourist destination after the HBO television series began using the outside of the building as Carrie Bradshaw's cool New York City residence. And the fandom has not died down, despite the fact that the long-running show ended in 2004 and the last film in the franchise, "Sex and the City 2" came out in 2010.

While residents in the building agreed to let HBO film outside their home, the crowds of SATC devotees blocking the sidewalks around the spot everyday has proved quite the inconvenience.

Residents of the West Village building are not arguing that Parker's photo shoot enticed more tourists to flock to the area however. They are reportedly angry that the actress brought her Carrie pumps onto their property without permission.

Gerald Banu, the president of the Perry Street Association also commented on the situation, telling Page Six that "Sex and the City" has made life difficult for the street's residents.

"I heard about the shoot. They didn't get the permission from the owner. The situation with 'SATC' visitors is still very intense. People who live here get upset that the sidewalks are constantly jammed," explained Banu, adding, "The only thing I could suggest to SJP is that when they write the next script, please have Carrie move to a new address."
