'Global star' Psy has ranked number 1 on Mnet "M! Countdown" with "Gangnam Style."

On today's broadcast of "M! Countdown," Psy beat BoA and Super Junior for first place. Psy is currently in the U.S. and being featured on numerous shows.

Although he was not there to receive his award, he still won 1st place.

Due to his absence, BEAST members received the trophy for him. They explained, "Since he is not here to receive it, we will give it to him when he returns."

Psy's "Gangnam Style" music video was played during the encore performance.

Psy is currently being featured on CNN, VH1 and other TV programs. Psy plans to return on August 25.
