Previous reports have tagged Lindsay Lohan as Tom Cruise's girlfriend. However, representatives of the 28-year-old actress shunned the reports.

Tom Cruise dating Lindsay Lohan reports surfaced when the two allegedly exchanged numbers last October 7 after meeting at London's celebrity hangout, Chiltern Firehouse. The "Mean Girls" star is currently in London for the play "Speed-the-Plow" whereas Cruise is in Monaco for "Mission Impossible: 5."

"Lindsay's always had a major crush on Tom and was dying to run into him, so the second she got her chance, she pounced," claimed one informe to Ok! magazine.

The insider also reported Lohan's yearning for a stable relationship: "Lindsay has been craving the security and sophistication that comes with dating an older man, so she couldn't believe her luck when she ran into her old crush [in London]."

In 2012, Vanity Fair published a story claiming that the "Herbie Fully Loaded" actress was once approached to apply for Cruise's wife position. Cruise allegedly met Lohan before Katie Holmes.

The "Parent Trap" actress was quick to deny the report. She tweeted: "I just want everyone & Tom Cruise to know, that I have/had NO part in the VF story. Nor has anyone in my life, personal and work related."

According to a report by The Mirror, the idea of Tom Cruise dating Lindsay Lohan is "far-fetched."

"He'd be friendly to her in her company but dating is far-fetched, she would be lucky to even be in a film with him," said the insider. "The closest they will ever be together is in the same room somewhere but that is it."

While Tom Cruise's girlfriend is not Lindsay Lohan, another Tom has vowed to watch over the "Parent Trap" star. The Wanted's Tom Parker said that he got worried when he saw a photo of Lohan coming out of a nightclub.

"She's had a rough time but she's a sweet girl and a great actress. None of us want to see her go back to that dark place," Parker told The Sun.

The two of them got close when Lohan dated Parker's fellow The Wanted member, Max George.
