Angie Harmon and her husband Jason Sehorn have reportedly broken up.

The couple, who have been married for 13 years, confirmed their split through a statement made by Harmon's rep on Sunday, Nov. 2, to PEOPLE.

"For the sake of their children, they ask for respect and privacy as they navigate this time in their lives," the rep told the magazine.

Harmon, who currently stars on TNT's "Rizzoli & Isles," got engaged to the former NFL player on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" in 1998.

The couple share three children, daughters Finley, 11, Avery, 9, and Emery, 5.

Harmon, who once starred on "Law & Order," has often split her time between Los Angeles, where she films "Rizzoli & Isles," and Charlotte, North Carolina, where her family lives.

"We don't get out Friday nights early enough to catch a flight home," she told Your Tango in an interview. "So I'm here [in L.A.]. We sometimes meet in Texas, a 2½-hour flight for both of us. I miss my kids, so it's hard, but my children are so understanding."

In terms of maintaining a relationship that was often long-distance, Harmon told the publication that keeping a marriage together is hard work.

"You have to be really considerate of each other, really kind to each other," she said. "It's a lot of work."

Despite their best efforts, it seems Harmon and Sehorn have decided to go their separate ways.

Angie is keeping her head up though. Earlier today, the actress responded to a fan's Twitter comment about struggling to feel strong. The television star wrote a rather brilliant reply.
