Gwen Stefani New Single 'Baby Don't Lie' Continues To Top The Charts; Receives Criticisms For Being A Ji Nillson Copycat

Gwen Stefani has recently released her new single "Baby Don't Lie" after eight years of hiatus from her last single "Sweet Escape" collaboration with hiphop artist, Akon. As the song continued to soar higher in the charts, it also received some rumors that is a copycat from Ji Nilsson's "Heartbreakfree" released on April this year, the Daily Mail reports.

It is reported that lots of people have been airing bad comments about Stefani's new single and the Sweddish pop star is reacting to them.

In one of her Tweets on Tuesday last week,  she said, "people agreed so I listened to Baby Don't Lie and yes, I agree that the production sounds alot like Heartbreakfree. I have not been sitting around waiting to say that a famous artist copied the production of my song."

The young pop star who has listened to the ex-No Doubt singer still praised her despite the earlier issue on the new single. "I love @gwenstefani and No Doubt, Don't Speak, Just A Girl and Cool are AMAZING songs!"

For its current standing, reports on Yahoo Music said that it is already included in the Top 40 songs and is currently in the Number 46 spot competing with Taylor Swift's new entry, "Welcome To New York." Further, the song is hoped to go up until it reached the Top Ten singles.

Meanwhile, the Voice coach is said to have been working with co-coach Pharrell Williams, both are said to be in Miami recording her songs (including Baby Don't Lie) for her third album to be released on December this year, Gwen's rep Irving Azoff said in an earlier interview in September this year.

Aside from her upcoming solo album, the Spiderwebs singer is said to be collaborating with her old band No Doubt for a new project like what they have done with 2012's "Push and Shove," the Hollywood Reporter said.

Baby Don't Lie is said to be performed in this current season of The Voice.
