It sounds like Anna Kendrick may be playing the coolest version of Cinderella ever.

The 29-year-old actress recently discussed her upcoming role in Disney's "Into the Woods," a film based on the Tony award-winning Broadway musical. According to Kendrick, she will play a "thoughtful and complicated" version of Cinderella in the movie that takes a deeper look into the fairytales the world has come to know and love.

"You see what happens after she marries the prince, when you start to face problems in seemingly perfect situations," Kendrick explained in an interview with Marie Claire for the magazine's December issue. "The interesting thing about her is she overthinks things, she's uncertain-we don't see that in most versions. In a lot of ways, I think it's this incredibly brave story. She's neglected and abused her entire life she finally gets love and it's not the kind of love she was looking for, and she stands up for herself."

And speaking of being brave, Kendrick also talked about having her looks scrutinized.

"The most common thing I get is, 'Am I the only one who doesn't think that Anna Kendrick is pretty?'" explained the actress.

"And you're like, 'No, you're not the only one,'" she continued, "'Arguably, all the boys in my high school agree with you.'"

Well, it's obvious that the boys at Kendrick's high school missed out.

The star also gave her thoughts on the nude hacking scandal that left many young actresses exposed on the internet this past year.

"I'm so infuriated on behalf of those girls," she said, showing her support for the victims of the leak. "And bummed out that people feel like that's something they can do."
