‘Dumb And Dumber To’ Cast Did Not Include Jennifer Lawrence As Promised; Did ‘Hunger Games’ Star Ask Her Scene To Be Deleted?

It was in September 2013 when reports about Jennifer Lawrence joining the "Dumb and Dumber To" cast surfaced. However, much to the surprise of moviegoers, the "Hunger Games: Mockingjay" actress did not appear in a cameo.

The blonde beauty was supposed to appear as the young Fraida Feltcher in the "Dumb and Dumber To" cast. She was the woman Harry and Lloyd both got attracted to in the original "Dumb and Dumber." In the sequel, the grown-up Fraida is played by Kathleen Turner.

Prior to signing up for the role, Lawrence was given a right to have her scene removed if she didn't like it. Insiders claim that the "Serena" actress was able to film her scene leading to speculations that she might have disliked how her scene turned out.

Director Peter and Bobby Farrelly, however, denied the speculations. In a press conference, Bobby merely told Cinemablend's Eric Eisenberg:

" Jennifer was in Atlanta when we were working down there, doing The Hunger Games, and a couple times - because we're friends with Woody Harrelson - we got together with them. We talked about trying to work it in, but we weren't able to do it."

The Farrelly brothers have a close relationship with Harrelson who was the lead actor in the 1996 "Dumb and Dumber" follow-up entitled "Kingpin."

Despite the disappointment of Lawrence's fans, Peter said, "There are other cameos in the movie, if you watch the end credits!"

"Dumb and Dumber To" star Jeff Daniels also told E! News last year what fans should expect in the sequel: "There are some things that's we're going to do in "Dumb and Dumber To" that make the toilet scene [in the original] seem lame. Pales in comparison and I can't divulge what, but just that they've topped it."
