"The Blacklist" season 2 spoilers reveal that Red will face a new obstacle through the director of National Clandestine Services, as the said character has big shoes to fill following Berlin's death.

The TVLine's "The Blacklist" season 2 spoilers reveal that there's going to be another baddie in town in the person of "Jasper," who is described as a 50-something director of the National Clandestine Services.

"Jasper's in charge of the multi-national group that runs the worlds' most powerful figures. He'll also be around beyond Feb. 1, since the role is recurring," he said.

In other "The Blacklist" season 2 spoilers from TVGuide, "Hellboy" star Ron Perlman was cast as another baddie in the show.

"Perlman will appear as Luther Braxton, a meticulous thief who plans his international heists over the course of several months or years. The ruthless baddie creates great diversions and chaos to get what he wants - that is, until he faces off with Red Reddington," it said.

The IBTimes reported that in episode 8, before Alan Fitch died, he told Red that "his death would set off a chain reaction" of villains who will come after him.

The website also said that Peter Stormare's Berlin has set a high standard for villains who will come to the show, so casting Jasper would be crucial.

According to Cartermatt's own "The Blacklist" season 2 spoilers, the producers have sent out a casting call for the part, but it's going to be a "reasonably big name."

"It is going to be a recurring role, and it begins with the Super Bowl episode," it said. "Given the caliber of guest stars that the series has managed to secure so far, we have a hard time really imagining that they will face any resistance trying to get someone substantial for this part, as well."

"The Blacklist" season 2 will air Sunday, February 1, following the Super Bowl on NBC.
