'Hell's Kitchen' Host Gordon Ramsay Sabotaged By Competitor? British Restaurateur Admits Not Swearing Before His Children

"Hell's Kitchen" host Gordon Ramsay is sabotaged by a competitor during the opening of his Heddon Street Kitchen in Mayfair, London on Saturday, or at least that's what he's claiming. The British restaurateur in an interview also insisted that he doesn't swear at home before his children.

In an article from The Telegraph, quoting "Hell's Kitchen" host Gordon Ramsey from the Jonathan Ross Show, the Michelin chef claimed that 140 persons booked for the first day of opening but only 40 showed up.

According to the famed chef, a rival has booked for 100 parties to sabotage the big opening.

"I think there's all that level of envy. Saturday was our first big day, we had 140 on the books and 100 no show. So someone would have been on a computer..." he said. "It's bad spirit and you see the staff and they are down and frustrated, I was there to pick them up and make sure we stay focused."

The Gordon Ramsay Group now has 24 restaurants worldwide featuring seven Michelin stars.

Heddon Street Kitchen is run by head chef Maria Tampakis, said MailOnline, and it is described as "having a relaxed atmosphere and 'modern European' menu which is ideal for 'brisk brunches and post-shopping pit stops through to lunch, dinners and after work cocktails.'"

Also, "Hell's Kitchen" host Gordon Ramsay, known for his rated R language on the reality show, claimed that he never brings his work persona home.

"I like to think it's an industry language. I've worked with some great chefs, and when I've made a mistake there's a naughty word that comes out," he said. "But do I want Matilda and Jack [his children] walking around swearing? Definitely not."

The British restaurateur claimed that he and his wife are careful about swearing around children.

"Some people think it's offensive, I'm not proud of it, I don't do it often," he said.
