TV broadcasts have been putting idols in their shows to try and raise views ratings. 

Idol members have taken over TV shows and dramas with them appearing on the 3 main channel networks. From music shows to variety shows, there does not seem to be a show without a idol member in it.

Shows such as "Idol Battle", "We Got Married" and "Invincible Youth" all feature top idols but only receive a viewer rating of around 2-8%.

Dramas with idol members as main characters such as SBS "To the Beautiful You" only received a 5% viewer rating. It seems that shows with idols are receiving a lower viewer rating compared to shows with older singers, receiving around a 10% viewer rating.

An official commented, "These broadcast companies are all using idols for similarly formatted shows for many years. This is not fun for the viewer to see the same type of show with only different faces. These types of shows have been going on for 3 plus years which is enough for a viewer to get 'bored' easily."

Another official commented, "If the broadcast companies don't come up with something new soon, they can expect an even lower viewer rating in the future."
