Bill Cosby Forced To Resign From Temple University? Rape Allegations Rumors Continue

Bill Cosby has resigned from his position as a Board of Trustees member at Temple University amidst ongoing rape allegations made by several women.

"He didn't want his personal issue to detract from his service to Temple," Temple University Board of Trustees Chairman Patrick O'Connor said, according to Reuters.

"He was a great trustee. I thanked him for his service."

The revelation has sparked rumors, however, that the star was forced to resign by university officials. These rumors are said to be untrue.

Former model Jewel Allison revealed that she was allegedly sexually assaulted by Bill Cosby during a dinner date.

"We may be looking at America's greatest serial rapist that ever got away with this for the longest amount of time," Allison told the Daily News last week.

"He got away with it because he was hiding behind the image of Cliff Huxtable."

Bill Cosby also allegedly used pills to weaker the motor skills of California lawyer Tamara Green in the 1970s to sexually assault her, the Washington Post reports, citing her 2005 Today show interview.

"I thought, you know, after all these years, it's the same M.O.," Green told host Matt Lauer during the interview.

"I decided that if there were only two us, one a long time ago and one right now, then that's two too many."

The revelation was made just one month following the testimony of Andrea Constand, who claims Bill Cosby sexually assaulted her-also with drugs. Constand was a former employee of Temple University.

Bill Cosby has continued to deny both allegations since they originally became public.

Last Sunday, the television star's attorney released a statement addressing the rumors. It described them as "decade-old, discredited allegations," mentioning that "the fact that they are being repeated does not make them true."
