Country star Miranda Lambert looks healthier than ever these days.

After dropping 20 pounds, the 31-year-old "Gunpowder & Lead" singer discussed her new body in the January issue of Marie Claire magazine, which features her on the cover. In the interview, Lambert admitted that she has been working to overcome her insecurity and anxiety, which has helped her lead a happier and more balanced life.  

"When you have to walk out there in front of thousands of people, it does feel good to know that your s--t's not jiggling," said Lambert in the magazine.

"I'm just like anybody else, insecure and scared of looking bad or being criticized. But everybody's making this big, giant thing about it," said the star, who's married to fellow country singer Blake Shelton. "It's way too much focus on women's bikini photos, and I hate it. Why do we care? I want women to love themselves whatever they've got going on."

"You know what, I fluctuate all the time in my weight-it's really annoying-but I'm going to be 30 in like four days, so I'm like, 'I need to get ahead of this thing!' Because they say when you hit 30 it doesn't get easier...So I thought, 'Well, you know, if I get a little healthier before I turn 30, maybe I can get ahead of the game,'" she added.

Lambert also talked about her marriage to Shelton, who she claims helps her see the bright side of life.

"I'm not sunshine and roses. Blake's the happiest person on the planet. He pulls me out of my darkness," said Lambert. "Literally everything is the best about being married." 

But Lambert also admitted that she still doesn't always feel confident.

"I'm always anxious," she confessed. "I will worry myself into oblivion. I was trying to make everything regimented, and it caused too much stress. I learned everything doesn't have to be perfect. That sometimes it's OK to say, 'I don't want to be the boss today. I have PMS. Bother someone else.' I like things better flawed anyway."
