"Fifty Shades of Grey" cast Rita Ora was reportedly trying to avoid her ex-boyfriend,DJ  Calvin Harris, during the Jingle Ball event at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on Friday.

MailOnline said that it would have been impossible for the two exes not to bump into each other because Rita Ora performed three times in the event while DJ Calvin Harris also took the stage.

"Rita and the 30-year-old Scot had a tricky break-up and it seems she was still hoping to turn some heads with her choice of outfit at the festive concert," the report said.

Rita Ora, however, turned heads with her strange fashion choice.

"From the high necked, Victorian style white shirt, to the dramatic black velvet, the doll-like outfit certainly had a theatrical air to it," the British tabloid said. "The structured bodice showed off her impressively slim waist as she first teamed the look with sexy suspenders."

Rita Ora explained to Glamour magazine why she and Calvin Harris split up: "I'm not doing too great but I'm doing better than I thought. I adore him and he's an amazing human being."

The Scottish DJ confirmed the Rita Ora and Calvin Harris split last June when he tweeted: "To address speculation - myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best."

Months after Rita Ora and Calvin Harris' split, the "Summer" singer was spotted having dinner with model Aarika Wolf at the Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica back in September, which fueled rumors that they were dating. The model was featured on his "Blame" music video.

And Rita Ora said that if the DJ didn't break the split news on social media, she would have stayed silent. "Honestly, if Calvin hadn't done it, I wouldn't have. It took me five days to write three sentences. It was massive."
