'Super Star K' Forced Dramas, Audiences are 'Frustrated'

Mnet's "Superstar K4" is tricking the viewers with editing that seems borderline immature.

In the beginning of the series, it took them 3 weeks to show people whether Joanne was participating or whether she was eliminated. There are also cases of flip-flopping where contestants who are eliminated can even reappear.

Jung Jun Young was the star of a 'forced drama.' He was popular from the beginning of the series with his attractive appearance and unique charm. During the collaboration mission, Jung Jun Young was almost sent home after being eliminated. However, the drama showed where his car was going and when the car arrived at his apartment, he wasn't there but was hiding behind the car. During the rival match, he was told that there would not be a round that would allow losers to come back. However, he was given a chance for the last interivew and Psy apologized, giving him a spot in the TOP 11.

Everytime he was on the brink of being eliminated, the show tried to force incredible tension for the viewers. It was also clear that they would not eliminate individuals that would create a lot of buzz, despite the fact that they always said that it was the last time that they would do that.

"Super Star K4" decided to suddenly implement the final decision rule. This was never part of the plan originally but it means that they will pick the TOP 11 through interviews, which means that the rival match was not the final step. There was never any explanation about this rule because they had to trick the viewers by saying it was the "last time." There was even a point where Choi Da Un won the rival match but still didn't make it into the TOP 11.

They showed the list of the TOP 10 after tear-filled interviews. Then they sold viewers on the fact that one of Yun Kyu Sung and Hong Dae Kwang would make it into the TOP 11 but didn't say who.
