'Hell's Kitchen' Host Gordon Ramsay Grateful With Show's 200 Episodes; Reality TV Star Gets Female 'Head Chef' For Atlantic City Restaurant

Gordon Ramsay is grateful for the fan support, which allowed "Hell's Kitchen" to film its 200th episode. The Michelin chef hired a Florida woman as head chef for his Atlantic City restaurant after the series finale.

"I think of the Wellingtons, then I think of the scallops, the risottos, the amount of food that we've cooked. 200 services, that's huge," Gordon Ramsay was quoted saying in an article by Zap2it.

Arthur Smith, "Hell's Kitchen" executive producer, said that at the outset they knew they had "something special."

The first night that we had our first dinner service ... it was like a sporting event, it was wild," he said. "The energy, the excitement -- that was fresh."

In a related development, "Hell's Kitchen" host Gordon Ramsay chose La Tasha McCutchen, 33, to be the new head chef of the Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill at Caesars Atlantic City in February next year.

The winner of the reality tv show said: "You want your dreams to come true, but the moment it happens, it's indescribable. One thing that I knew was that I was ready for this opportunity. I was waiting for this moment in my life, and here I am."

The "Hell's Kitchen" winner said that she's excited to start soon in Atlantic City, which is saddled by economic troubles with the exodus of big hotels to tax-friendly cities.

"I know that with any major city, it goes through its ups and its downs, its ins and its outs, and I feel like I'm going to be that fresh," she said. "When I was growing up, my uncle nicknamed me 'cool breeze.' So I want to be that cool breeze that comes to Atlantic City and brings a lot of life back."

As "Hell's Kitchen" prepares for another season, Gordon Ramsay shared the secret to his success: "I never take anything for granted, I open the doors for 'Hell's Kitchen' like we're opening up for the first time every time."
