And while this new report coming from The National Enquirer might be far from bringing the celebrated couple back together, fans would surely be glad to hear that the ex-lovers are reportedly still talking to each other.

The gossip publication claims that Rachel McAdams had called her former sweetheart to congratulate him on becoming a new dad.

However, the kind gesture reportedly irritated Gosling's baby mama Eva Mendes forcing her to ban the 34-year-old Canadian actor from talking to his ex-girlfriend whatever the cause may be.

''Rachel had the best of intentions when she called," the insider told The National Enquirer. "She wanted to congratulate Ryan on the baby, but also to find out how he was doing.

"It caused a big scene. Now Eva's banned him from taking Rachel's calls."

Nevertheless, the news should be taken with a grain of salt since the infamous publication is known to have regularly make gossips and falsify news.

Meanwhile, according to previous reports, Gosling has no intentions of marrying the "Hitch" star despite having a beautiful daughter with her.

HollywoodLife reports, "Ryan doesn't think they need to marry just because they are having a baby," a source allegedly close to the couple claimed.

But, Eva thinks otherwise, she strongly believes that they should get married no matter what.

"Eva believes it's important to have their lives fully intertwined," the source of the publication revealed.
