"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Phaedra Parks spent quality time with the kids on Christmas as she ditched Apollo Nida for one of the more important holidays of the year.

According to the report from Radar Online, Phaedra Parks spent Christmas with her sons, Ayden, 4, and Dylan, 18 months at their home in Atlanta.

The article noted that Phaedra Parks' actions were contrary to her earlier announcement that she would love to bring her sons to visit with their father Apollo Nida in Kentucky prison for Christmas.

A source told the tabloid that Christmas festivity at the home of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Phaedra Parks "was very quiet" attended only by the immediate family.

"The entire day was devoted to the boys, and they had a great time. Everything Phaedra does is for the boys, and she didn't want any of the drama of the past year to impact their Christmas," the source added.

Even if Phaedra Parks ditched Apollo Nida for Christmas, the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star, however, made sure that the boys were able to talk to their father on Christmas day.

Apollo Nida is serving time for eight years after he was convicted of identity theft and bank fraud in Lexington, Kentucky. He pleaded guilty to the charges and was ordered to pay $2 million in restitution.

Celebrity Dirty Laundry said "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Phaedra Parks shouldn't be judged for ditching Apollo Nida on Christmas.

"Though she wouldn't pay him a visit, Phaedra did allow a phone call between the prisoner and his sons. While Parks is eager to move on, she feels strongly about her sons knowing their father and having him in their lives," the tabloid said.

However, the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star's decision to forego the visit could be a portent of things to come as Phaedra Parks is filing for divorce from Apollo Nida.
