Victoria's Secret Angel Jordan Dunn Ecstatic With Solo Cover For Vogue; Cara Delevingne's BFF Follows Naomi Campbell's Lead

Victoria's Secret angel Jordan Dunn followed Naomi Campbell's lead as she became the first black model to grace the cover solo of British Vogue after 12 years.

Cara Delevingne's BFF was so ecstatic that she shared a photo of the Vogue cover on her Instagram while she wrote: "I'm so Happy to finally say I'M ON THE COVER OF BRITISH VOGUE!!!  Thank you @britishvogue ,Patrick Demarchelier and Kate Phelan for making this happen and also thank you all for the Love and Support it means everything to me #2015YearOfTheDunn."

The post was shared to her nearly a million followers who are mostly supportive of Jordan Dunn's Vogue cover.

Claudiadelgadom wrote about Cara Delevingne's BFF: "This was long overdue @viejeremias, cant believe Cara scored three covers before this happenes (sic)."

Kymbiaainsworth added: "Yessss! @officialjdunn How can I get a copy of the magazine? I'm in the US. I need this in my life! #history #modelsoncover #imafan."

Ludachupinax commented: "@jessicavman omg wow I didn't expect this such a big shock I am so proud of jourdan Dunn."

Kevinwilsonp also wrote: "So proud of you!! You're gorgeous and deserve this SO much!"

Maria_kart quipped: "Hallelujah well dunn babe, so proud!"

According to MailOnline, Victoria's Secret angel Jourdan Dunn is the "first solo black model to grace the cover of British Vogue for more than 12 years."

Reportedly, the magazine has since unveiled 146 covers without a black model going solo.

Prior to Jordan Dunn's Vogue cover, other black models like Naomi Campbell, Iman, and Bethann Hardison wrote an open letter back in September 2013 to also recognize British models of color.

"No matter the intention, the result is racism. Not accepting another based on the colour of their skin is clearly beyond aesthetic," the letter said.

Victoria's Secret angel Jordan Dunn also talked about the struggles of being a black model. "The people who control the industry ... say if you have a black face on a magazine cover it won't sell, but there's no real evidence for that. It's lazy," she said.
