Scottish DJ Calvin Harris Lands 9th Spot In Forbes' Highest-Paid Musicians; Rita Ora's Ex Boyfriend Ventures Into Movies With 'Entourage'

Scottish DJ Calvin Harris is one of Forbes' highest paid musicians after earning $66 million in 2014. Rita Ora's ex boyfriend is also venturing into movies with a cameo in the HBO series "Entourage."

In a report from BBC, Scottish DJ Calvin Harris ranked ninth in the Forbes' list, led by Dr. Dre who earned an astounding $620 million followed by Beyonce with $115 million, The Eagles with $100 million and Bon Jovi with $82 million.

Born Adam Wiles, who started as a stacker of shelves in a local store of Dumfries, Rita Ora's ex boyfriend assumed the name Calvin Harris when he carved a career as a DJ.

"He has since made several of his own albums and written and produced records for stars such as Kylie Minogue, Dizzee Rascal and Cheryl Cole," BBC said. "Last month, the DJ withdrew from the MTV European Music Awards because of illness."

Meanwhile, Scottish DJ Calvin Harris' appearance in "Entourage" was shown in the trailer released by HBO recently.

According to Radio.com, Rita Ora's ex boyfriend is expanding his audience from the EDM stage and into the mainstream by venturing into movies.

"Harris shows up in the opening sequence, which finds main character Vincent Chase (played by Adrian Grenier) portraying some sort of cyborg DJ spinning at a massive rave and exchanging knowing glances with Harris, who is seen posted up conspicuously at the party," the article noted.

The scene is actually part of the movie that Chase is making. Jeremy Piven's Ari is then shown screaming at Chase and the rest of the crew since the film is already going above the budget.

It's good to see that Scottish DJ Calvin Harris is working again after the scare late last year when he pulled out of the MTV European Music Awards because of an undisclosed heart problem.
