Ian Somerhalder dating Nikki Reed reports aren't new but will the two soon decide to settle down? The "Vampire Diaries" actor can now feel relieved since Reed's divorce from her ex-husband Paul McDonald has been finalized.

As per TMZ, the formerly married couple divided their assets. While the former "American Idol" contestant acquired the ownership of their abode in Nashville, the "Twilight" actress walked away with three homes and three vehicles - a Toyota Tundra, a Toyota Rav4, and a Range Rover to be specific.

Ian Somerhalder's lady love also got the custody for Enzo, the German Shepherd she used to share with McDonald. Somerhalder wouldn't have a problem welcoming the new pup for he's an animal lover like Reed.

The 26-year-old actress called it quits with McDonald in March 2014 because of "irreconcilable differences." They have been married for almost three years.

Fans are wondering if the former "Lost"actor will propose to Reed soon. Previously, it has been reported that Reed moved in with Somerhalder. Speculations have intensified as well for the couple was recently spotted checking jewels at New Stone Age in West Hollywood.

In the middle of checking displays, the two couldn't help but hug and kiss each other. Prior to their small shopping trip, the 36-year-old actor alo went to the Neil Lane jewelry store during the holidat season. It is unconfirmed if he purchased a ring from the shop.

Somerhalder continues to film for the hit CW vampire flick. Reed, on the other hand, will be next seen with Joe Jonas in the 2015 flick, "The Highway is for Gamblers."
