Pregnant Kate Middleton will start the year with two engagements following rumors that alleged the Duchess of Cambridge is using her baby bump to avoid her royal duties.

The Clarence House confirmed that Kate Middleton, baby bump and all, will make two appearances on January 15 and 16.

"The expectant royal will first visit London's Barlby Primary School to officially name the Clore Art Room as part of her role as a charity ambassador with the Art Room," said The Independent.

"The following day, the Duchess is due to attend an event celebrating foster carers at The Fostering network," it added.

Meanwhile, the tabloids are having a heyday accusing pregnant Kate Middleton of being lazy and using her alleged morning sickness to evade her royal duties.

"Now, pregnant with her second child, she has not only had to deal with the first few months of illness, but has young Prince George to care for as well," Celebrity Dirty Laundry said. "However, does that excuse the Duchess of Cambridge of participating in only 76 public engagements compared to Prince Philip's 200? The fact that Prince Philip is 93-years-old almost mocks Kate's excuse of morning sickness."

The tabloid cited a survey by British publication Daily Mail where it showed that among the 15 royals included in the list, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton attended the least number of royal engagements.

"The poll showed Queen Elizabeth as the record holder who, at 88 years old, appeared at approximately 375 events-sometimes more than six in one day!" it said.

According to Inquistr, Kate Middleton's pregnancy was far from smooth as she's suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidaru.

"The intense bouts of nausea make it nearly impossible for Kate to get her day-to-day things accomplished," it said.

But Celebrity Dirty Laundry, in another report, claimed that Camilla Parker-Bowles, Prince Charles wife, allegedly accused the pregnant Kate Middleton of using her morning sickness in order to duck from her official duties as the wife of Prince William.
