Tiger Woods Misses Out On Girlfriend Lindsey Vonn's Competition; Ski Racer Finishes 10th Place

Tiger Woods missed girlfriend Lindsey Vonn's competition in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, on Friday as she finished 10th place.

According to NBC Sports, the feat extended her goal to "tie the women's World Cup wins record by at least one day."

"Italian Elena Fanchini won the race, her first World Cup victory since her maiden win Dec. 2, 2005. Canadian Larisa Yurkiw was second, .15 back, for her first World Cup podium, followed by German Viktoria Rebensburg," the report said.

Meanwhile, Tiger Woods' girlfriend, who ruled the Olympic downhill competition back in 2010, was .88 behind as Lindsey Vonn was hurt by the thick fog and falling snow.

"I charged, but I still had a hard time seeing everything. The pressure will be there until I break the record," Lindsey Vonn said.

"I was surprised at how foggy it was. I have no regrets," she said per Globe and Mail.

"I skied the best that I could and I just wasn't quite fast enough today. But the pressure will be there until I can break the record. I just have to stay focused on the skiing and that's what's going to win me races," she added.

The publication Globe and Mail noted that even if Tiger Woods' girlfriend did not get the record, it was still a special day for Lindsey Vonn since her father and mother both watched her race, which was the first time since the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics.

Tiger Woods' girlfriend Lindsey Vonn is on the road to reclaim past glory after suffering from two serious injuries that threatened to put her career on halt.

The athlete's road to recovery from her two injuries to compete in the 2015 World Championships in Vail Colorado is documented in "Lindsey Vonn: The Climb" which will premiere on NBC, said corporate sponsor and producer, Red Bull's, website.
