‘Snow White And The Huntsman 2’ Won’t Have Kristen Stewart But Emily Blunt? New Character To Seek Revenge For Ravenna’s Death

The production for "Snow White and the Huntsman 2" is gearing up as it aspires for an April 22, 2016 release date. Several changes have been made not just in the plot but also with the film's key persons. One is that director Frank Darabont will no longer be on board for the sequel.

The new director is yet to be announced. Fans were similarly surprised when the creative team of the "Snow White and the Huntsman 2" opted to give the story a different direction. While many thought the sequel would focus on Snow White's reign after defeating Ravenna (Charlize Theron), it wouldn't.

The sequel will instead concentrate on Chris Hemsworth's character, the huntsman. Stewart appears not to be booked to film major scenes for the movie. Cinema Blend previously reported that should Stewart return, it would "likely be limited to a cameo or a handful of brief scenes." It has been confirmed, however, that Theron would return on-screen.

Screen Crush likewise reports that Emily Blunt might join the sequel as Ravenna's sister, the Snow Queen. In the sequel, Hemsworth will have to face ghosts from his past in an attempt to recover a stolen magical mirror. In the said journey, Hemsworth will be encountering the Snow Queen who's seeking for revenge for the death of Ravenna.

"Snow White and the Huntsman" has been deemed successful for making almost $400 million out of a $170 million-budget.

Stewart's dismissal from the project is allegedly because Universal Pictures thinks that her fame is not as stellar anymore as compared to her 'Twilight' days. Her kissing spree with Rupert Sanders, which ended her relationship with Robert Pattinson, likewise did not help her image.
Such might not be a problem for Stewart who recently expressed her need to recuperate.
