‘James Bond 24' Release Date In Jeopardy? Daniel Craig's New '007' Movie 'Spectre' Reportedly Denied To Film In Rome’s Ponte Sisto Bridge

Is the new "James Bond 24" movie titled "Spectre" in jeopardy?

Following news that Daniel Craig's new "007" film is having problems with its shooting location, speculations soon arise that the upcoming spy film is in trouble of reaching its target release date.

The movie has kicked off its production last month in Austrian Alps, only to be delayed after the rest of the cast and crew were forced to stop filming due to weather issues, according to Mirror UK.

In addition, nine of the cars to be used in "James Bond 24" film were earlier stolen by thieves causing another delay.

And as the film heads down to another location, Rome, after the shooting in Austria, they again experienced another setback.

Daniel Craig was banned to continue shooting his high-speed car chase scene in Rome's 16th century fountains because the site was reportedly too "fragile" to handle such scenes.

"We have not authorised the sequence at the Quattro Fontane (Four Fountains) because it is too fragile in terms of architecture," Federica Galloni, Italy's culture ministry told Il Messaggero newspaper via Mirror UK.

And now, the cast and crew spearheaded by director Sam Mendes of "James Bond 24" are reportedly facing another dilemma as their schedule to film a helicopter scene in Rome's 15th century Ponte Sisto Bridge on March was again cancelled by the city authorities; imposing speculations that the release date would indeed be delayed.

"Some campaigners are concerned about damage to the bridge, which dates from the 1400s, others are upset over the religious connection," a source from the set explained.

Adding, "The bridge is said to be haunted by the ghost of Donna Olimpia Pamphili, Pope Innocent X's lover who crossed it each night on her way to his bed. Believers get quite upset by the prospect of disturbing spirits.

"Sam has already had to change one major scene, now it looks like he's going to have to go back to the drawing board on this one."
