Ariana Grande, Nathan Sykes' Breakup Due To Long Distance; British Crooner Admits Writing A Song For Ex-Girlfriend

Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes' dating story may have gained fans but the pair eventually broke up after a few months. Even if they parted ways amicably, nothing can stop the British crooner from writing about the "Bang Bang" songstress - like what Taylor Swift does for her love experiences.

Sykes described to The Sun magazine what the song was about, "The most emotional song is about me telling myself not to be angry at the breakup because sometimes things just don't work out. That's life."

However, don't expect that the "Walks Like Rihanna" hit maker will divulge nasty things about his ex-girlfriens.

"It's important not to be selfish with writing so there's no detailed version of events. And there's no bad blood. She's a lovely girl," he said.

So, what really prompted Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes' breakup?

"We split because of the long-distance thing. There was that amazing moment at the start of the relationship where we both convinced ourselves, 'Yeah, long distance won't matter. It will be fine.' But it was impossible," he said.

When the young musicians ended their relationship last year, the "Sam & Cat" actress talked about Nathan Sykes to a US radio show with DJ Showbiz Shell.

Ariana Grande said, "He's so talented. I am so glad to have met him and have a friend like him in my life. He's an amazing person. It was very civil. It was mutual."

"He's such a great person. I adore him and he's so talented," she added.

Ariana Grande is now dating Big Sean whom she recently gushed about.

"I'm very happy and very much not on the market," said the 21-year-old to Now magazine.

The "Love Me Harder" hit maker also talked about her preference in guys.

"I like boys with a bad-boy kind of style, but Sean's the best boy I've ever met. He's a sweetheart," Ariana Grande said.
