Ashley Moss, Richard Sherman's girlfriend, gave birth to the couple's first son Rayden on Thursday, four days after the Seattle Seahawks 2015 Super Bowl face-off against the New England Patriots. 

Sherman was said to have been deliberating over his participation in last Sunday's match with the Seattle Seahawks, who ended up losing to their rivals 28-24. 

"My son sure does know how to make an entrance!  2/5/15... Is it a coincidence or is he just that clever?! Either way I'm ecstatic," he posted on Twitter. 

Given that the 26-year-old football star shares a new child with Moss, rumors on social media are suggesting he may soon propose to his girlfriend. For now, however, Sherman seems focused on fatherhood. 

"I am looking forward to it," he said during a recent interview, according to the Seattle Times. 

"It's one of those things, it will be a life-changing. I'm looking forward to having a chance to raise my son and meet everybody, and teach him things that I know."

Sherman recently signed a four-year extension with the league from now throughout the 2018 season, guaranteeing him $40 million.
