'The Following' Season 3 Spoilers: Ryan Back With FBI; Throwback Hints Mark Gray Still Present

"The Following" is coming back for season 3 and Kevin Bacon dished some spoilers on what to expect from Ryan Hardy and partner Mike Weston.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Kevin Bacon and Shawn Ashmore talked about their respective characters and how Ryan Hardy now finds himself back with the FBI, and how another villain will make a comeback.

According to the article, Ryan Hardy will now face more villains as opposed to just one baddie in the person of Joe Carroll. But he's also at the point in his life when he's allowing himself to be happy.

"He didn't walk away from the FBI. Last season he wasn't really back in; he was deputized temporarily," he said. "But now he's actually rejoined the FBI as a full-on employee. He's also in a relationship, finally, with a woman that is the right woman for me - the woman."

Ryan Hardy's new lovelife, Kevin Bacon said, "is not the wife of a serial killer or a serial killer herself or a journalist...and they get into a relationship that I don't think Ryan ever really expected he could have. They're going to cohabitate; it's going to be a real relationship."

Shawn Ashmore said, "Mike has been overseas, hunting down Mark Gray (Sam Underwood), who is the last surviving member of the Gray family. So [he's] in an awful place when he gets back. Literally."

"He's jet-lagged, and he gets off the plane and shows up to the wedding, and everybody is having a great time, and Max has moved on," Ashmore revealed more spoilers for season 3 of "The Following."

Then Ryan Hardy and Mike Weston will find clues that would lead them to believe that Mark Gray could still be alive.

"But we don't understand all of the clues right away, so we have to go back to the detective work," Ashmore said.

Watch out for more "The Following" season 3 spoilers when the series returns on March 2 on Fox.
