If you watched the recent 2015 Grammy Awards, you have probably already heard of the giant scandal that is Kanye West vs. Beck. According to Vanity Fair, West leapt on stage after Beck's album "Morning Phase" won Album of the Year, and almost grabbed the microphone from his hand. However, he faltered at the last minute and walked off stage.

If the situation reminds you of the time when West cut off Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Awards, we don't blame you. Like Beck, Swift had also defeated Beyoncé in an awards category - the Best Female Video category.  Luckily, things were a little different this time as West decided not to incite drama onstage.

However, he definitely stirred up some drama offstage. When E! Network's after-Grammys hosts asked him what was going through his mind when he walked up to Beck, he replied, "I don't even know what [Beck] said. I just know that, the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We aren't going to play with them no more. 'Flawless.' Beyoncé's video. And Beck needs to respect artistry, he should have given his award to Beyoncé."

According to the Huffington Post, West revealed that he prevented onstage drama due to his responsibility for his family and his career. He stated, "And by the way, I got my wife, my daughter, and I got my clothing line, so I'm not going to do nothing that would put my daughter at risk, but I am here to fight for creativity. That's why I didn't say anything tonight, but you all knew what it meant when 'Ye stepped on that stage."

With all the drama, you'd assume Beck would be a little ticked off, right? Not so. In fact, he said that even he was surprised he won Album of the Year instead of Beyoncé. He stated, "I thought she was going to win. Come on, she's Beyoncé!"

He also complimented West, and called him a genius. According to US Weekly, he stated, "I was just so excited he was coming up. He deserves to be on stage as much as anybody... How many great records has he put out in the last five years right?" Beck continued, "You can't please everybody, man. I still love him and think he's genius. I aspire to do what he does."

If only we could all be so humble!
