'The Voice' Coach Christina Aguilera Talks About 'Gem' Baby Summer Rain; Says Son Max Loves Being Big Brother

"The Voice" coach Christina Aguilera talked about her precious baby, Summer Rain, as he claimed that he son Max loves being a big brother.

The "Dirty" singer talked to E! News during a press junket but couldn't help gush about baby Summer Rain.

"She's just gorgeous. She's so beautiful and she's so peaceful and awesome and just a gem. She really is," she said.

She also cited the difference between raising a girl and a boy. "Girls are a little more sensitive. I can tell even in her cry. It just takes a little bit longer whenever she gets worked up and upset about something, if she's hungry or whatever, to calm down."

"It's so cute, though! There's a difference between boys and girls-to me, anyway. Boys are a little more tough, like [they] shake it off a little bit better. But it makes me want to just protect her so much more," she added. "It's just like, 'Oh, my God, world! Don't corrupt her!'"

She also said that seven-year-old Max loves his sister so much.

"I have no complaints. Beyond my expectations. He's like an old grandma coming in the room. He's 7 and he was just so engaged with her," Christina Aguilera added of the bond between siblings.

In choosing the name Summer Rain, a source had told E! News that Christina Aguilera wanted "something different and unique."

"She has always been a more expressive person and a little bohemian who is inspired by words and daily life," the source added, explaining that Christina Aguilera thinks that summer is an amazing time of the year.

Christina Aguilera gave birth to Summer Rain via caesarian section with fiancé Matt Rutler on Aug. 16. They met on the set of "Burlesque" and announced their engagement on Valentine's Day last year. Max is her son with former husband Jordan Bratman.
