"X Factor" judge Simon Cowell just loves being a father to baby Eric as he gushed over how a "fantastic little boy" he is.

In an interview with E! News, Simon Cowell, more known for his acerbic comments on "X Factor," couldn't help but rave about his baby boy Eric.

"I love being a dad. It's been easy and I can't believe it's a year already. It's gone by, like, snap, but he's a fantastic little boy," he said.

"I had no idea what it was going to feel like to be a dad and I was always nervous about babies," Simon Cowell added.

"I didn't know what to do with them. But actually, when you see someone day by day becoming, you know, more smart and doing different things and recognizing you and now talking, I mean...it's an incredible feeling."

It seems baby Eric is taking after his dad as "X Factor" judge Simon Cowell claimed that his son loves music.

"He is addicted to 'The Jungle Book.' I have now heard 'Bare Necessities' and 'I Want to Be Like You' probably 1,000 times this year," he said, adding that maybe the boy is not quite a tough critic at the moment like him.

Baby Eric, Simon Cowell's son with Lauren Silverman, turned 1 on Valentine's Day.

According to the Mirror, the birthday party had 100 people coming over.

The tabloid also said that the Simon Cowell's son is one of the most traveled celebrity babies around.

"Baby Eric spent what felt like a lifetime on the beaches of Barbados as Simon jetted off for a winter break after the X Factor finished," it said.

"Home is like a holiday for Eric, who spends most of his time at his dad's LA mansion, complete with swimming pool and all manner of other luxuries," it added. "There has been known to be the odd Sinitta lurking there though."
