Tiger Woods Gives Girlfriend Lindsey Vonn A Kiss As Golfer Supports Ski Racer Beau In Championship

Golfer Tiger Woods, who announced his plan to take a break from the game, planted a kiss on girlfriend Lindsey Vonn during the Alpine world ski championships.

"After the kiss in the snow, Woods and Vonn patted each other on the back," said the New York Times. "At that moment, who was consoling whom?"

"It turns out Woods is good at motivating his girlfriend," it added.

Linsey Vonn recounted the exchange with boyfriend Tiger Woods, "He just said, 'Let's end on a positive note.' It was like, 'In the second run, show them what you can do.' And I did."

The golfer, who won the majors 14 times, had announced that he would be taking an indefinite leave after suffering a back injury. He also dropped from the Farmers Insurance Open in California before completing the whole competition.

In a statement sent to media outlets, Tiger Woods said: "Right now, I need a lot of work on my game, and to still spend time with the people that are important to me. My play, and scores, are not acceptable for tournament golf. Like I've said, I enter a tournament to compete at the highest level, and when I think I'm ready, I'll be back."

After making the announcement, Tiger Woods immediately jetted off to Colorado to support girlfriend Lindsey Vonn.

The NY Daily News in an article published Feb. 12 reported of rumors that Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn are planning to get hitched.

"Woods and Vonn have become a megawatt sports celebrity pairing in recent years, and in Colorado the last two weeks there has been a persistent rumor that their marriage is imminent, perhaps even on Valentine's Day," it said. "The women's slalom is scheduled for Saturday - and Vonn is not expected to enter."

The report about Tiger Woods wedding to girlfriend Lindsey Vonn is yet to be confirmed.
