Tracy Morgan No Show At 'SNL' 40th Anniversary; '30 Rock' Actor's Health After Car Accident Hinders TV Appearance?

Tracy Morgan was absent during the "SNL" 40th Anniversary Special as the comedian is still reportedly traumatized by last year's car accident.

"They really wanted him to be there, but when it came down to it, he just isn't mentally or emotionally ready to appear on TV yet," a pal of the comedian told New York Post's Page Six.

Tracy Morgan was a member of the cast of "SNL" from 1996 up to 2003. Since the car accident last year, the comedian and "30 Roock" actor has been rarely seen from public, and only when he motors between his house and the hospital.

He's undergoing physical and emotional therapy to deal with the trauma resulting from the car crash.

People added that Tracy Morgan wanted so bad to join the 40thanniversary episode of "SNL" but his condition didn't permit him to do so.

"Tracy would have loved to have been there, but he just isn't up for it at this point," a source told the magazine.

On hindsight, the comedian has already hinted that he won't be coming to the anniversary show.

TMZ cameras caught Tracy Morgan walking with the aid of a cane for his regular checkup in a NYC hospital.

"Tracy, how's your recovery coming, man?" the TMZ cameraman asked the comedian.

"Working hard," Tracy Morgan said.

"Any chance you're gonna be meeting with the other guys for the 40th anniversary of SNL?"

The "30 Rock" actor replied, "no comment."

Tracy Morgan has filed a lawsuit against Wal-Mart after the New Jersey turnpike car crash in the middle of last year. The retail giant already settled the civil suit filed by the family of James McNair, the comedian who died from the collision.

The amount paid by Wal-Mart, however, was undisclosed but the family released a statement saying they are happy with the outcome of the case.
