Blake Lively's husband, Ryan Reynolds, recently opened up about fatherhood and joked about their new baby.

According to a report from Entertainment Tonight, Blake Lively and her husband are adjusting to life with a newborn baby.

"Our baby, in particular, is, we think, allergic to sleep," Ryan Reynolds told Jimmy Fallon during a guest appearance at the latter's show.

"We think that she thinks that she's protecting us from the sleep monsters."

"She's like, 'Oh, I gotta keep them up or the sleep monsters will get them,'" Blake Lively's husband added.

The actor also shared how he tries to make their daughter sleep, a task that is daunting for any new parent.

"The trick I try to use is that Baby Einstein stuff, but for me that's like horse tranquilizer," Ryan Reynolds joked.

"I could [fall asleep] on a lit stove," he added.

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively met while they were filming "Green Lantern" years ago. It was late last year when the handsome movie star and blond stunner announced that they were expecting their first child.

The interview of Blake Lively's husband followed the recent public appearance of the "Gossip Girl" star.

According to a report from E!Online, the 27-year-old stole the show at the Marchesa Fall 2015 showcase in New York City, where she sat at the front row right beside Vogue lady boss Anna Wintour.

Even though Blake Lively is busy with Preserve, her upcoming movies, being a new mom and simply being an all-around It Girl, a recent report from Us Weekly also revealed that she has signed up to be an advocate against sex exploitation through a movement called "My Life My Choice."
