Fans might soon hear breakup songs if Ed Sheeran and girlfriend Athina Andrelos are indeed heading towards splitsville following an alleged huge fight. The couple, who has been dating since last year, reportedly fought over his schedule and friendship with Taylor Swift.

Ed Sheeran and girlfriend Athina Andrelos allegedly fought during last week's BRIT Awards because of the "Photograph" crooner's hectic schedule.

"Things haven't been as good and Ed has just headed off on a world tour which will keep them apart for months," said one insider to Mirror.

 "There have been a few ­fallouts and the latest seems to be more serious. It looks as though the relationship might have run its course," added the insider.

The "Thinking Out Loud" singer is scheduled to have tours in various countries such as Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.

Apart from Ed Sheeran's commitments, the former talent manager reportedly didn't like Taylor Swift's acceptance speech wherein the "Styles" songstress acknowledged the singer in her speech.

Swift said, "I wouldn't be up here if it wasn't for one of my best friends, who took me to pubs and taught me how to make a good cup of tea and everything about the UK. I want to say, 'I love you, Ed Sheeran, wherever you are.'"

Ed Sheeran's girlfriend Athina Andrelos is believed to be the inspiration behind the hit song "Thinking Out Loud."

"There's a new song on the record called "Thinking Out Loud." The second verse says, "When my hair's all gone and my memories fade, and I don't remember my name, when my hands don't play the strings the same way, will you still love me the same?" It's important to find someone who is into you for you," he previously told Elle magazine.

Ed Sheeran previously described the hit single as a "walking down the aisle song."
