Liz Hurley And Hugh Grant Still ‘Best Friends’ As Hurley Hits The Big 50

Liz Hurley an Hugh Grant dating stopped years ago, but Grant still thinks of Elizabeth Hurley as his "best friend."

Grant dated the "Notting Hill" star through much of the 90s. The British duo were considered one of the hottest couples at the time. Even after Grant was arrested shortly before his comedy Nine Months after being caught with Hollywood prostitute Divine Brown back in 1995. Grant and Hurley broke up after 13 years together in 2000. Hurley took eight years off from showbiz to raise her son Damian, who is now 12.

The 54-year-old British actor gave an interview on Watch What Happens Live on February 18. "It did [work out]. She's still my best friend. The sex bit probably fizzled out, but now she's my absolute best friend," Grant host Andy Cohen. "[She's] the number one person I call in a crisis."

The Four Weddings and a Funeral star took part in the show's five questions. While he wouldn't say which actress he wouldn't work with again, he did admit he stopped watching porn.

"I'm rather proud of this. About three years ago. I went cold turkey," Grant said. "I now have three children. I think there is a correlation."

Elizabeth Hurley, who plays a fictional Queen of England on E!'s new comedy "The Royals," says she is surprised to be turning 50 and is asking "How did it happen?"

Speaking to Matt Lauer on the "Today" show, Hurley "What can I say? It seems incredible. How did it happen?"

"It might sound a bit cheesy, but I do feel very lucky to be here," she said. "I never knew if I'd ever work again," Hurley said about leaving show business. "It was a real gamble. But I needed to do it. So when I said to my agents I'd love to work again if there's anything there, I was like, we'll see what happens. So for me, it's a second coming and I'm thrilled."

"The Royals" premieres on E! on March 15 at 10 p.m. ET.
