Big Sean and Ariana Grande seem to be getting serious and they have the approval of the rapper's mother who gushed about the "Problem" singer.

TMZ cameras caught up with Big Sean and mother, Myra Anderson, as they were leaving the Los Angeles Airport on Monday.

The cameraman asked Big Sean's mother what she thinks about his girlfriend Ariana Grande and she said, "Yeah, we just saw her last night ..."

The rapper tried to stop her mother from spilling the beans further as he protested, "Ariana is amazing."

But Big Sean's mother couldn't be stopped. "'She's great. Everybody...20,000 people knew he was at the show last night with Ariana. She's fabulous."

"You got momma's support, that's huge," the cameraman told Big Sean, who could only mutter, "For sure."

In an interview for Complex magazine, Big Sean acknowledged that her friendship with girlfriend Ariana Grande was a big factor into their relationship.

"We started as friends. I'd never done that. Usually you meet a girl and then start dating. We always saw each other in the studio, and we'd talk about songs we were working on," he said. "It was cool to have a girl that I could talk to about my problems. I did that with her."

"It's not some fake-ass, inauthentic shit when I say we were friends. This is something special and I appreciate every moment of it," the rapper added.

Big Sean also said that whatever outside distractions like being a celebrity and busy schedules would have to be put aside in his relationship with girlfriend Ariana Grande.

"I don't think about it like that," Sean said. "You can't be afraid, because when you're afraid you don't give it your all."

Big Sean and Ariana Grande dating rumors started after they were snapped kissing in August last year inside a movie theater in The Grove in LA. He had just come off a relationship with Naya Rivera who then went on to marry Ryan Dorsey.
