Following the much talked about Robin Thicke, Paula Patton divorce issue, the "Hitch" actress is finally breaking her silence claimining that it has been a year of "healing."

Many were devastated when news about Robin Thicke and Paula Patton's divorce surfaced. After all, the pair were sweethearts since they were 14 years old. After being married for nine years, the power couple opted to part ways. While the "Blurred Lines" crooner exerted effort to win back his wife, it didn't work out.

In an interview with "Good Morning America," the brunette beauty finally talked about the split. The "Hitch" actress said that despite the hardships, she chose to remain optimistic.

"I'm doing very well," Patton said during her guesting. "I mean, the honest truth is it has been challenging, but it's been a year of growth, lots of healing, learning about all new things, but I've come out of it stronger."

Despite the complications that came with Robin Thicke and Paula Patton's divorce, the latter chose to be grateful.

"The truth is it's hard for me to say this because I don't always do this, but it's being grateful for what you have. It's easy for us to focus on the negative things, but usually, the positive in your life outweighs that. And you have to just thankful for what you have right now," she said.

While there are issues of infidelity from Robin Thicke's side, the couple is determined to remain friends.

"We will always love each other and be best friends; however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time," read the couple's joint statement.

The couple has a 4-year-old son named Julian, whom have a joint custody.

Following Robin Thicke and Paula Patton's divorce, the crooner has been romantically linked with young model April Love Geary. As their relationship becomes more public, fans cannot help but comment about Geary's resemblance with the "Hitch" actress.

Meanwhile, Patton has been reportedly spotted getting close with Miranda Kerr's former husband Orlando Bloom during the Oscars after party hosted by Vanity Fair.
