While many men will do anything to have Emma Watson as their date, the "Beauty and the Beast" actress refuses to be pampered especially if she knows she can take care of herself. Recently, she recalled a time when a man felt uncomfortable when she offered to foot the bill.

During a live Facebook Q&A session for the International Women's Day, the Brit beauty reminisced the encounter: "It was really awkward and uncomfortable. It was not going down well. I'm sure he would say he was a feminist but he was just like, ooh, I'm not really sure about this, it's making him feel a bit tetchy."

Fortunately, Emma Watson's date was open-minded.

"The cool thing was that we were both willing to have the conversation about why it was awkward, or why it was uncomfortable. We were able to have this dialogue," the "Beauty and the Beast" actress said.

The "Noah" star also emphasized that chivalry shouldn't be a one-way path.

"I chose the restaurant because it's my favourite restaurant. I would love to pay, but next time, you choose the place and you pay, or whatever it is. The key is chivalry should be consensual, both parties should be feeling good about that."

Apart from Emma Watson's date encounter, the "Harry Potter" actress is becoming famous for standing up for women's rights.

Recently, the UN Ambassador for Women expressed her displeasure when a website threatened to release Emma Watson nude photos.

The threat came after Watson's famed UN speech. Nonetheless, Watson's confident that the threat is fake.

"I knew it was a hoax, I knew the pictures didn't exist, but I think a lot of people that were close to me knew gender equality was an issue but didn't think it was that urgent, that it was a thing of the past."

As reported by Sky News, the "Beauty and the Beast" actress was angered by the threat, "I was raging, it made me so angry, I was like, this is why I have to be doing this. If anything, if they were trying to put me off it, it did the opposite."
