Kate Upton and boyfriend Justin Verlander threw their support on a pet adoption campaign as People's Sexiest Woman Alive will join "Glee" star Lea Michele in a new film.

On Wednesday, "The Other Woman" actress helped host the Grand Slam Adoption Event with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office just before the Detroit Tigers pitcher is set to face the Washington Nationals in a spring training match.

"I have three dogs, and I have a couple horses," she told USA Today. "I was raised on 5 acres, and I showed horses my whole life. And I love dogs. And I think it's really important for people to adopt their new pet, instead of going shopping because millions of dogs die in a shelter every year."

People's Sexiest Woman Alive Kate Upton and boyfriend Justin Verlander were also there to show support for the Sports Illustrated model's sister, Christie Williams, who works as a volunteer at the Melbourne Shelter on Eau Gallie Boulevard.

"Growing up, we had four rescues and we had anywhere from five to six horses at a time," Kate Upton's sister said.

"Kate and I came up with it together. We were both at the shelter, and she fostered a dog and we said, 'What kind of benefit can we do to get more exposure to the awesome dogs in here?'"

In related news, Justin Verlander's girlfriend will reportedly jet off to Vancouver, Canada to film her latest movie with "Glee" star Lea Michele.
