'The Flash' Spoilers: Comics Storyline Hits TV Series

Showrunner Andrew Kreisberg teased "The Flash" spoilers during the recent 2015 Paleyfest as he said that the TV show will take on a crucial story arc from the comics series.

"There's a fairly big Flash storyline from the comics that we're going to tackle in the future," he said, per TVLine.

Deadline reported that Kreisberg is more likely talking about "Flashpoint," which is a mini-series that came out in 2011 for five episodes.

"In it, the timeline is changed drastically, with Barry Allen's deceased mother now alive, his father never having been framed for her murder, and the DC universe suffering as superpower factions exist in a state of almost permanent war," the report said.

"Barry retains his memories from before history was altered, and is forced to go back in time to fix things, with mixed results."

As to what fans can expect from Barry Allen going forward, Grant Gustin teased more "The Flash" spoilers as he said per Super Hero Hype, " I think it's like this: Barry is someone who obviously wears his heart on his sleeve, at least the way that I have played him."

"That's what's ultimately driving Barry. Now he's got Caitlin in his life, he's got Cisco in his life. A lot of times, they're [the ones] who are driving him to get involved in a situation and it depends on what he's focusing on... what's right in front of him," the actor explained.

"Really, what's driving Barry is finding Reverse Flash and being ready and strong enough to face him and saving his mother," he added.

The synopsis for the next episode of "The Flash" dish out some spoilers as it reads, "The Weather Wizard appears in Central City to avenge his brother's death and targets Joe, who shot the man. Meanwhile, Cisco recalls the night when the team captured the Reverse Flash and realizes something doesn't add up; and Barry and Linda go on an awkward double date with Eddie and Iris."

Watch out for more "The Flash" spoilers which will be published here when they come along. "The Flash" airs Tuesdays on CW.
