Chris Martin dating Kate Hudson? The Muse frontman appears to have moved on from Jennifer Lawrence, who he was rumored to be dating. The ex-husband of Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly getting close Kate Hudson.

According to TMZ, Chris Martin, who consciously uncoupled from Gwyneth Paltrow last year, was spotted on the beach in Malibu, Calif., with Kate Hudson.

35-year-old Golden Globe winner Hudson and her husband Matthew Bellamy split last December. After Martin and Paltrow split, the Muse singer was reportedly dating "Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence.  According to reports, Lawrence and Martin broke up last September. The pair were seen having dinner together at Kiwami Sushi in Studio City on New Year's day.

According to Heat Magazine, Lawrence's family think her friend Liam Hemsworth is a better match than Martin.

"Liam and Jen have always been close - there's a real bond between them and they turn to each other when they have problems," a source told Heat magazine. "Her friends and family are desperate for her to ditch Chris - they feel Liam's a better match and doesn't carry all the baggage of Gwyneth and children."

In March, the 41-year-old Shakespeare in Love actress posted a message titled

Paltrow posted her now-famous 'Conscious Uncoupling' post to her lifestyle website GOOP in March, saying she and Martin were separating after 10 years of marriage. But the couple has remained close, sharing care for their two children, Apple and Moses.

"Jen wants commitment from Chris, but he is still spending time with Gwyneth because of the kids. Jen's sometimes lonely and Liam is filling that gap. They're in contact all the time. There's genuine love there between them," the source told Heat.

Paltrow, 42, and Martin, 38, have been seen going out with their kids on numerous occasions in recent months.

"There is buzz among their friends that they are still sleeping together," an insider told OK! Magazine in December. "They even stayed in the same hotel rooms [when they were in] Texas and New York."

"Despite being very different beasts, Chris and Gwyneth adore one another," a source told the Daily Mail. "I suppose it's a case of they can't live without one another. Talk of officially ending their marriage is not even on the agenda. Lawyers haven't been introduced yet. The chances of there being a happy reconciliation are very high. The split released a lot of pressure from the intense relationship but they are still very close. They look back and enjoy what they did have and are loving what they currently have."
