Nick Cannon is rumored to be dating model Jessica White but the lovebirds are keepin things on the down low pending the divorce from Mariah Carey.

Although Mariah Carey's ex and the model have been friends for a while, and allegedly dating just recently, they have not made any official announcement "out of respect for Nick's family since the divorce is not final."

However, the source told E! News that Nick Cannon did not cheat on Mariah Carey with Jessica White since they were only friends when the "America's Got Talent" host was with the singing diva.

"Jessica fully respected Nick's relationship and would never get in between anything with them. When Nick was going through his breakup Jessica was there for him as a friend," the source claimed.

"Jessica been in the studio lately and Nick has been very supportive with her focusing on her music career and giving her some great pointers and direction as she explores her talents. They been spending lots of time together and Nick really enjoys Jessica's free spirit and easy going attitude for life," the report added.

According to Page Six, which first reported the news about Nick Cannon dating Jessica White, the model is the face of Maybelline and also graced the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated.

About two months ago, Nick Cannon filed for divorce from Mariah Carey after six years of being together. Their kids Monroe and Morrocan were born on April 30, 2011.

Although Nick Cannon's marriage to Mariah Carey did not work out, the "America's Got Talent" host said that they make sure to be there for the kids.

"Family is the number one priority. It's always making sure that you make that connection first," Nick Cannon said per E! Online. "Just even where I move or the places where my days start has to be starting with the kids first."
