Since One Direction's rise to fame, fans have always known Liam Payne to be the most straightforward in the group. This trait led to speculations that he is displeased that Perrie Edawards' fiance Zayn Malik left the boy band in the middle of their "On the Road again" tour in South East Asia.

Fans were shocked when Zayn Malik opted to return to United Kingdom while his boy band headed to the Philippines for their tour.

While his camp said that he simply needs to recuperate, many can't help but link Zayn Malik's sudden departure with his romance with Perrie Edwards.

The "Little Mix" songstress allegedly gave her beau an ultimatum after photos of him holding hands with a girl named Lauren Richardson surfaced. The photos were taken while the One Direction members were in Thailand.

According to an insider of the Spec, One Direction member Liam Payne thinks that his band mate is having difficulty handling the fame.

As per the source, Liam Payne said, "He is just a kid. He wants to make music, but the spotlight that comes with it is hard. Fame is kind of catching up with all of them."

"It's been a gruelling and intense few years and it's having a snowball effect now. Zayn would be happy with a low-key life. He has a problem with the fame - he doesn't handle the attention very well, and every so often he has a little wobble."

Despite Zayn Malik's absence, the One Direction members seemed to manage well when they staged a back-to-back show in the Philippines. The four boys took turns in singing Malik's supposed parts in each track.

The boys were allegedly instructed to be "more entertaining" to appease Zayn Malik's fans. Nonetheless, fans in Manila appeared to have understood the situation.

Throughout the concert, fans chanted Zayn Malik's name while holding paper masks of 1D's missing member.

The Saturday Star reported that Perrie Edwards' fiancé will be reuniting with his band mates in South Africa on March 28. It isn't clear yet if Zayn Malik was able to patch things up with his soon-to-be-wife as the latter was recently seen packing her bags and leaving the house she shares with the One Direction member.
