Faith Hill’s Neck Surgery May Have Left Just A Scar But Will Tim McGraw’s Wife Be Able To Sing Again?

Faith Hill was the center of attention on the Oscars red carpet last month but not just because she looked fabulous in her bedazzled gown and chic short haircut - fans noticed that Faith Hill was sporting a large scar on her neck. People magazine revealed that Faith Hill underwent a dangerous neck surgery, but will Tim McGraw's wife be able to sing again?

Faith Hill, 47, had neck surgery in January 2015 "to correct damage stemming from an injury a couple of years ago," a source told the publication.

The procedure is known as an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion and is generally used to relieve pain from a herniated disc.

Hill first had surgery for the issue in 2011 in the back of her neck, the source confirmed.

But according to the March 30th edition of National Enquirer, Faith Hill is " terrified of complications following a risky procedure to alleviate pain in the neck area of her spine."

The anterior cervical discectomy and fusion is done "by operating through her throat area, in a risky move that could see her lose her ability to sing," the publication wrote.

Some worry that Faith Hill is not recovering as well as one might hope. Tim McGraw's country singing wife skipped the Grammy Awards on February 8th, despite the fact that she was nominated in two different categories.

According to National Enquirer's inside sources, the singer will be unable to sing for a minimum of two months. A common side effect of the procedure is hoarseness, which has left fans worrying that Hill may never have the same-sounding voice.

Luckily, a source told People magazine that so far, Hill's recovery is going well with the aid of physical therapy.

Let's hope that she will be back to her singing ways in no time.
