8 Times Louis Tomlinson Gushed About Eleanor Calder In Interviews; Will One Direction Power Couple Get Back Together?

Many fans were devastated upon finding out about Louis Tomlinson and Eleanor Calder's split. The two have been considered as One Direction's "power couple" as they have been together for the past four years.

While they have already parted ways, Louis Tomlinson and Eleanor Calder's memories would remain. In several interviews, the "Steal My Girl" crooner has repeatedly gushed about his romance with the brunette beauty.

1. Louis talked to the Sun how Eleanor felt about his fans.

"Things really bother me when they upset my family or Eleanor. I think I'm quite thick-skinned but if you're going to do or say that, f*** you."

"She gets pretty intimidated by it all. I mean, who wouldn't? She can't have Twitter or anything like that.", he said, "I can't expect her to deal with some of the stuff so easily. But I couldn't be happier with her."

2. Louis told Hollywood Life that relationships require effort.

"It's a little daunting. At the end of the day if you want it to work, it will work. It just requires probably more effort. If your heart's in it, then you're not gonna mess about."

3. Louis admitted to Hollywood Life that he doesn't care about bashers.

"It's really strange and the majority (of fans) don't have hate towards her... It gets a little frustrating seeing that, especially when I'm in a happy relationship. But at the end of the day, I am happy and Eleanor is happy, so there's not really that much more that matters."

4. Louis opened up to Seventeen magazine about the most romantic thing he did for a girl.

"I can't really cook, but the first dish I ever made was for my girlfriend, Eleanor. I made chicken breast wrapped in ham, homemade mashed potatoes, and gravy."

5. Louis told the Sun the status of his romance with Eleanor.

"Without wanting to sound too soppy, I am incredibly happy with the way me and Eleanor are."

6. Louis admitted his worry to Fabulous magazine.

"I sometimes worry that she might want to go and find a boyfriend who's there every day.Obviously it's not easy having a long-term relationship in this job, but it frustrates me when people say it's impossible. It's definitely doable, it's down to the people and whether they want to make it work enough."

7. Louis told the Sun that he texted Eleanor's mother.

"I was worried about my reputation at first. I remember I sent Eleanor's mum a few text messages saying, 'Please don't judge me thinking I'm like the stereotypical boy band type who is going to go around and sleep with everything that moves.'"

"It's important for me to treat a girlfriend with respect. My mum would be horrified if I behaved any differently - and I have sisters, and would hate for them to be treated badly by guys."

8. Louis talked to Fabulous magazine how he misses Eleanor.

"Not many days have to go by before I really start missing her, so sometimes - even if it's just the odd day - I've flown back from a show, had a day in London and then flown back again. It keeps you sane."

"It's important to have that one person I can confide in and be close to. We trust each other completely and the relationship wouldn't work if we didn't. We're really loved-up."
