Blake Lively's baby's name was finally revealed. According to Hollywood Life, the announcement was made by the "Gossip Girl" star's husband, Ryan Reynolds.

"It's James, everyone knows," Ryan Reynolds said while on a guest appearance at NBC's Today show.

"I didn't want to be the first guy screaming it out to the media, because as we know, little girls turn into teenage girls and little teenage girls sometimes scan through the archives and go, 'Why did you do that?'"

The confirmation regarding the name of Blake Lively's baby came after news started circulating that they named their daughter Violet.

"No, (Violet) is not the name," the 38-year-old actor earlier told USA Today.

"I don't want to get into that but I don't know where that came from."

The "Green Lantern" lead actor also previously clarified that he and his 27-year-old wife openly tell their daughter's name to other people.  

"We definitely (have a name)," he said during an interview with David Letterman.

"I threw out the idea of just never naming the kid to be totally original, but we have a name."

"I just don't want to say it in, like, a media context. I tell everyone who I meet, so it'll come out," Ryan Reynolds added.

Blake Lively made news after she gave birth to her firstborn last January. According to an earlier report, the blond stunner had such an easy pregnancy due to Ryan Reynolds' support.

"Ryan is being such a sweet hubby, he's giving her foot and back rubs constantly! He jokes that she doesn't even have to ask anymore, he just automatically does it," the source previously told E!Online.

The source also revealed that Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively plans to raise the baby as normal as possible..

"They both have talked a lot about raising the baby out of L.A. and giving their kids a normal childhood: Playing outside, having a puppy, catching lightning bugs... they want their kids to experience all of that," the insider explained.
