Lorde and boyfriend James Lowe celebrated their second anniversary as the "Royals" hitmaker's mom showed her support by posting their sweet photo on her own Instagram.

The Instagram photo that Sonja Yelich shared showed Lorde kissing a seemingly shy James Lowe on the cheek as they sat on the couch. The singer's mother also edited the photo to draw a pink heart in between the two lovebirds.

Lorde's mother then captioned the photo, "2years 2day."

"Lorde, real name Ella Yelich-O'Connor, planted a kiss on the cheek of her partner who is eight years her senior, as they sat on a lounge together," said Daily Mail. "She sported a fresh faced complexion as she cuddled up to her beau, wearing a white singlet and tight light blue jeans with small black stitchings printed on."

One fan noted, "Congraaats, I'm so happy with you two @lordemusic @jamesklowe."

Another gushed, "Aww so cute!"

One of Lorde's fans added, "Such a lovely pair! Congrats xx."

Lorde's boyfriend James Lowe weighed in on the perils of dating a famous celebrity while trying to be normal.

In a blog post, he wrote about being in a relationship with the "Royals" singer, "This blog developed into a series of words and pictures, thoughts and often over-thoughts about trying to live in a country that wasn't my own, about trying to be in a relationship with a girl who lives 6000 miles away, about whatever the fuck someone in their 20′s shouldn't be doing, but currently is. My life is probably a lot different now, but it feels normal on the inside."

"I do become aware of the people around me and their transparency. They fail to hide it. I've experienced being a target of the tabloids, finding moments I thought I was in safe hands splattered all over the internet, being pushed and shoved, or watching others get pushed and shoved by paparazzi just to get what they think they're entitled to," Lorde's boyfriend James Lowe added.
