While pop star Justin Bieber can boast of legions of adoring fans -- his critics are probably just as plenty.

And so Comedy Central, in what is turning out to be "comedy gold" according to fans, has just done what many Justin Bieber haters have long dreamed of doing -- subjecting him to a roast.

The show, which aired Monday night, featured a diverse group of people ready to take their perfect aim at Bieber. Among them: Kevin Hart, Snoop Dogg, Shaquille O' Neal, Hannibal Buress, and even lifestyle guru Martha Stewart and actor Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy from his movie "Anchorman."

Now, news is out that both the pop star's fans and haters have tuned in for the Justin Bieber roast.  According to Deadline, it was the no. 1 cable show that aired that night, in the 18-49 demographic. A grand total of 4.4 million viewers were on hand to see Justin get insulted. In its second airing, 1.4 million tuned in. The livestreaming numbers are impressive too, with some 420,000 people catching the show via the Internet.

The Justin Bieber roast was also the trending topic online, garnering 1.3 million posts. Related topics to the show also went viral not just in the United States, but around the world as well.

In case you missed it, we've rounded up some of the hilarious highlights of the show. Starting with Kevin Hart's suggestion to "Do you hermaphrodite twerk." The comedian put out some jokes that fans said to have bordered on the offensive. "Ebola patients hear about 'Bieber fever' and say, 'I'm gonna go ahead and ride this one out,'" he said.

Jeffrey Ross then added a question about Justin's on and off relationship with Selena Gomez. "Is it true you dumped [Selena Gomez] because she grew a mustache before you?"
