Fans have been reveling over the recent news that the "Twilight" star, Robert Pattinson is engaged and is set to marry his current singer girlfriend, FKA Twigs.

This news was published by Vulture magazine during its interview with T-Pain. The rapper, who has been lying low and keeping out of the music industry scene for several years was being interviewed about his comeback projects. He then casually dropped the bombshell that fellow singer FKA Twigs is engaged to be married to her beau, Robert Pattinson.  

Vulture asked T-Pain about a possible collaboration with the singer. The rapper said that this would not be quite so easy. "But [FKA TWigs] is on tour so much, and anytime I call her, she's in a different place," T-Pain said. "And she's engaged now, so that's about to be a whole other thing."

The rapper was then pressed for confirmation of this news. "Yeah, to ol' Patty [Robert Pattinson]," he replied. "I don't know if she wanted anybody to know that ..."

It will be recalled that Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs started dating six months ago, much to the surprise of the "Twilight" actors' fans. The news garnered mix reactions. Several responses were quite offensive, with some "Twilight" fans calling FKA Twigs a "monkey."

The singer has since taken a stand against the abusive messages that she has received on social media. "I am genuinely shocked at disgusted at the amount of racism that's infected my account in the past week," she tweeted. "Racism is unacceptable in the real world, and it's unacceptable online." FKA Twigs has Jamaican, Spanish and English blood.

Aside from teens trolling the singer, FKA Twigs has had to deal with the unwelcome attention of the paparazzi. "I look uncomfortable because I am uncomfortable," the "Video Girl" singer shared in an interview with The Observer, "But then it's like, is this person in my life worth that? And he is, without question... In comparison to how happy I am. And how I feel with him. It's 100 percent worth it."
